Siemens Phones

Siemens Phone Systems

Siemens developed the 8825 telephone and Gigaset 8800 cordless handset extension for both SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) users and high-end consumers who demand a full set of features. Voice-announced Caller ID lets you know who's calling without your having to be within reach of the phone. With this feature, you can record--in your own voice--the names of people in your directory list. When you receive a call from someone in your recorded phone memory, you hear--in your own voice--the name of the person who is calling.

As communication requirements grow, the Gigaset 8825 and Gigaset 8800 system can scale to meet those needs. The system is expandable to eight handsets and offers intercom capabilities, call transferring, call conferencing, consultation call, and room monitoring. The 8825 features a built-in four-mailbox digital answering machine with 45 minutes of recording time and an Auto Attendant feature that enables callers to route a call to the correct mailbox. In addition to helping manage communication within the office or home, the system has frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology, which provides superior voice quality, clear reception, and the confidence of secure, private conversations.

Each Gigaset 8825 system comes with a Gigaset 8800 handset, and the system can be easily configured to support seven more. The handset includes digital answering machine access, a Caller ID/Call Waiting display, and a full duplex digital speakerphone. (There is a speakerphone in the base and one in each handset.)

Additional features include multi-user capabilities (use up to four handsets simultaneously); a call log that stores up to 50 numbers; Caller ID/Call Waiting ID information with automatic call-back function; and programmability in English, French, and Spanish. Illuminated graphical LCDs are positioned on the base and handset, and speed dialing draws from a directory of up to 120 names and numbers.
